Natural Aided Language Boards

Production Description: This CD has files of Natural Language Boards that are used for Aided Language Input and Vocabulary Referencing within the classroom, work, and home setting. The term "Natural Language Board" is used to describe WHAT the boards are because the words are arranged in a left-to-right order to help in natural production of basic English sentence structure.

The term "Aided Language Input" refers to HOW the boards will be used. They are intended to be used to TALK TO THE AAC device user using the same words that are in his/her device. Once the teacher, paraprofessional, or family member knows what words are available, he/she can help the student find those words in his/her AAC device

The disk has files for the following Vocabulary Programs:

• Unity128 Sequenced (PASS version 3.00.1 of April 6, 2006)
• Unity84 Sequenced (PASS version 4.05 of September 11, 2006)
• Unity45 Full (PASS version 4.05 of September 11, 2006)
• Unity32 Child (PASS version 3.03.2 of April 6, 2006)
• Words Only (so you can add whatever symbols and icons you want)

The files are in 3 formats:

1. Microsoft Word (.doc)
2. Rich Text Format (.rtf) and
3. Portable Document Format (.pdf).

Locate the Vocabulary Program you want, customize it as necessary, print out the pages, and put the board together. Customize the board using icons found in the Making Minspeak Materials CD, with the PRC Picture CD, or through the PASS software.
